Broker (Sales)

Our Broker team represents the brokerage’s sales force. Their main purpose is to foster relationships with clients, as well as help educate consumers on the ins and outs of insurance. They are responsible for ensuring clients have the best coverage at the best price, and for advocating on their behalf in the event of a claim.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess client needs, advise client on recommendations and execute on all important details
  • Create an effortless experience for our customers
  • Demonstrate strong decision-making and analytical skills
  • With experience and training, develop understanding of the insurers’ underwriting guidelines
  • Use sound underwriting judgment when reviewing and modifying policies
  • Educate clients on exposures / risks and ways to minimize these

Qualifications:

  • University degree, college diploma or the equivalent combination of formal education and experience is preferred but not required
  • Previous success in customer service or a strong desire to help customers
  • Ability to multitask
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Desire to work in a dynamic team environment
  • Insurance experience is not required

  1. Join the Brokers Trust team at our Vaughan, Mississauga or Ottawa locations
    Contribute to our team as one of our on-site Brokers, working most days at either our Vaughan/Concord, Mississauga or Ottawa offices. Our office team works Monday to Friday in-office and includes travelling throughout Ontario for various client meetings or sales calls.
  2. Open a Brokers Trust branch location (satellite office)
    We’re growing and looking to our Broker team to help create satellite offices in key areas. Choose to work from a branch location – either one that already exists, or we can explore setting up a new satellite office with you.
