Account Manager (Personal Lines)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Account Managers are the frontline of our team and act as key customer service representatives (CSRs). This role is responsible for ensuring new and existing clients have the right insurance in place to protect their home, auto and other belongings. They are responsible for providing advice, shopping and placing coverage with an insurance company, processing policy changes as well as advocating for clients in the event of a claim. To succeed as an Account Manager, you should be a relationship-oriented individual with strong organizational and analytical skills.


  • Review, manage and grow assigned portfolio of accounts
  • Providing professional and efficient customer service
  • Answering questions and advising clients on any changes, claims or policy renewals
  • Cross-selling of mono-line policies
  • Remarketing policies when necessary
  • Updating client accounts on Applied Epic systems as well as the Insurance company portals
  • Keep current on underwriting rules and workflow processes
  • Electronic interfacing with insurers
  • Provide support to producers which may include quoting and preparing applications


  • RIBO licensed, CAIB and CIP designations are an asset
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an Account Manager in Personal Lines of insurance
  • Knowledge of Applied Epic and Applied Rating is an asset
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willing to work toward CAIB or CIP
