2023 is proving to be a pinnacle year for our Brokers Trust team—our 60th anniversary milestone, and on top of that, business growth and expansion, not one, but two (!) IBAO Awards of Excellence nominations, breaking ground on significant office renovations and so much more.
But we digress…
Back to our anniversary.
Brokers Trust is marking the 60th anniversary of business operations in Ontario this year. Our wholly independent insurance brokerage, that first opened the doors in 1963 with one office on College Street in Toronto, now operates multiple locations across the province, has a team of +140 insurance professionals and remains a vibrant, fiercely innovative leader in the communities we live and do business in.
And that, is something to celebrate!
Here’s four ways that we’ll be celebrating our Anniversary over the next year—with our team, with our clients and with our community.

BT 60th Anniversary Kick-Off x Blue Jays
Thank you to our Brokers Trust team! Six decades of business deserves a celebration—with dedication, determination, hard work, grit and team at the forefront of the baseball business—we couldn’t think of a better parallel to celebrate the work we do at Brokers Trust for our clients. As a thank you to the team, we hosted a night out with the Jays to kick-off our anniversary and spur excitement for the incredible year ahead. Check out some of the pictures from the night, HERE.
The Brokers Trust Community Project
We are passionate philanthropists and giving back is part of who we are. To mark our 60th anniversary milestone, we are launching a community giving program called Brokers Trust Community Project. The program encourages employees to donate a collective 60 days for 60 years. All employees on the Brokers Trust team will be given the opportunity to donate their time to a charitable cause in one of the local communities that Brokers Trust does business—with the goal of working with as many charities as possible when project concludes in 2024.
BT In the Community
Going hand in hand with our passion for giving back, is our support of the communities we work and do business in. Throughout the year, we will be hosting a series of community events for our clients, community-members, partners and team to take part in. Our first event—Brokers Trust Pumpkin-Palooza—took place on Sunday, October 22 at Dixie Orchards. Brokers Trust in partnership with CAA Insurance Company covered the admission and gave away free pumpkins to the first 300 guests.

To visually mark the occasion, Brokers Trust, for the first time has taken on a new limited edition 60th anniversary logo.
